This collaboration brings Algarve Music Retreats and Independent Music Academy together with SoundBunker and The Hub Culture. It is a chance to work closely with experienced artists, songwriters and musicians, build your confidence and reconnect with the reason you make music.

A retreat with a town on its doorstep
Based at SoundBunker and The Hub Culture in central Loulé, near the castle and the town’s landmark Municipal Market.
Step outside and the rhythm changes. Cobbled streets, small cafés, local restaurants and independent shops make the old town somewhere to explore between sessions. There is space to wander, get a coffee, fill a notebook or simply sit and let an idea settle.
The castle and historic centre give this part of the Algarve its own character. You are staying connected to everyday Portuguese life while making time for your own music — with the wider Algarve there to explore when your schedule allows.

Good work needs breathing room. Make space for the conversations, the quiet moments and the change of scene.
Slow down over a coffee in the old town, head out for a relaxed meal, or take a walk around the castle streets. Time away from the session can be where the next idea arrives.
Local accommodation keeps Loulé at the heart of your retreat. Ask the team about the accommodation for your edition, room sharing and any private-room options before booking.
Shared evenings are part of the experience. There is time to talk music, get to know fellow artists and enjoy the town’s restaurants and creative atmosphere.
Loulé is an inland town. If you would like to extend your stay with a coast or countryside day, allow for your own transport and time outside the retreat programme.

Our creative base is SoundBunker inside The Hub Culture, Rua Ataíde de Oliveira 27, 8100-269 Loulé, Algarve, Portugal. We are in the town centre, near the castle and Municipal Market. Accommodation and any additional performance venues are confirmed for each retreat.
The partner programme combines songwriting, studio recording, workshops, content creation, rehearsal and a live showcase. The published retreat includes a fully written, mixed and mastered song and professional content. Confirm the detailed programme for your edition with Algarve Music Retreats.
Speak to Algarve Music Retreats about local accommodation, the room arrangements and what is included in your package. Their published retreat excludes flights, airport transfers and alcohol. Confirm your full booking details before arranging travel.
